Getting from Sanur to the Dock
South along the Ngurah Rai bypass to the Serangan turning, then across the causeway to the floating dock (Dermaga apung, Serangan, Denpasar 80229) — pin sent with your booking. A Gojek or Grab is the usual way; so is a scooter. The private transfer from $50 is there if a group wants one vehicle and one pick-up time, but Sanur is the one area where most guests do not bother. Whatever you choose, it stays a separate line from the charter.
The Shortest Drive to Manta Point
The crossing from Serangan to Penida takes roughly an hour, past the Lembongan and Ceningan coastline, and the skipper's plan is to be above the manta cleaning station mid-morning while the swell is low. From Sanur that whole morning compresses: leave the hotel at eight, mantas by ten, Crystal Bay or Gamat Bay before lunch, the Kelingking cliffs from the water in the early afternoon, and back on your own beach by five.
