Why one harbour
Serangan sits centrally on Bali's calm south-east side with quick access to open water, so boarding is sheltered and departures run on time. We send the exact map pin with your booking confirmation.

Coming on your own

Area by Area: Getting to Serangan and What to Book
Uluwatu, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua (the Bukit)
The Bukit peninsula sits just across the water from Serangan, which makes it an easy base for any charter. Jimbaran is often 20–30 minutes from the dock via the Bali Mandara toll road — handy for a dawn fishing charter. Nusa Dua resorts are around 25–35 minutes out, and clifftop villas in Uluwatu about 40–50 (all approx., traffic dependent). Short transfers mean Bukit guests can leave the hotel later and still make the same departure, and a sunset cruise fits easily after a beach day.
Kuta, Legian and Denpasar
Hotels in Kuta and Legian sit between the airport and the harbour, so the run to Serangan is usually 25–35 minutes. Many guests here book the 4-hour slot — a sunset cruise or a morning coastal cruise with snorkel stops, from $750 for the whole boat. Central Denpasar is closest of all after Sanur: Serangan lies inside the city, roughly 15–25 minutes away.
Seminyak, Canggu and Berawa
The west coast has no charter marina — the surf beaches are not built for it — so guests in Seminyak, Canggu and Berawa drive across to Serangan. From Seminyak that's usually 35–50 minutes; from Canggu and Berawa, 50–70 (approx.). Groups from this side usually make a full day of it — an 8-hour Nusa Penida trip or a celebration on the 17-guest flagship via our events charter. An 8 am pick-up from Canggu usually has you on the water by about 9:30.
Sanur
Sanur is the closest base to the dock: Serangan is roughly 15 minutes down the coast road. If manta rays and snorkelling at Nusa Penida are the main goal, staying here means the least time in a car — the 8-hour Nusa Penida day from $950 leaves early and Sanur guests barely notice the transfer.
Ubud
Staying inland in Ubud doesn't rule out a charter; it changes the logistics. The drive to Serangan is roughly 60–75 minutes (approx.), so departures start early, before the heat and the traffic build. Most Ubud guests book a full day — the 8-hour Nusa Penida trip or the 10-hour Gili Islands charter — to make the drive worthwhile rather than a quick sunset run.
How the Optional Transfer Works
Hotel pick-up is not included in the charter price — it's an optional private transfer from $50, or you simply make your own way to Serangan. If you add it, you send your hotel or villa location and we quote the vehicle and set the pick-up time. What shapes the price and timing:
- Distance to Serangan — Sanur, Denpasar, the Bukit and Kuta are closest; Ubud, Canggu and Berawa are furthest.
- Group size and vehicle — standard car, bus for bigger groups, or a premium Alphard; the quote names the exact price.
- Traffic windows — early-morning transfers avoid the worst of the Kerobokan and Denpasar congestion.
- Trip type — a sunset cruise needs only an afternoon pick-up; Nusa Penida and Gili days start early to use the calm morning sea.
